Applicants of YES fund commends YES for the introduction of business clinic

Participants of business clinic could not hide their joy after a training which will help them restructure their business plan for the YES fund. About 2084 young entrepreneurs have applied for the 10 million seed fund, 270 in the Ashanti region and the others scattered across the country. The Youth Enterprise Support (YES) initiative has been designed to help Ghana's young and innovative population turn great ideas into thriving business enterprises. The program was initiated by President John Dramani Mahama with a ten million Ghana cedis (GH¢10,000,000) seed fund to assist young Ghanians with creative and innovative business ideas and plans to achieve their full potential. The youth enterprise support has started a nationwide program known as business clinic to assist youth entrepreneurs with business plan preparation to enable them access the YES fund. The Youth Enterprise Support (YES) initiative has been designed to help Ghana's young and innovative population turn great ideas into thriving business enterprises. Ending Dumsor: Economic Advisor assures “money is not a problem”

Economic Advisor to President Mahama, Dr. Nii-Moi Thompson has reiterated government’s commitment to end the power crisis which is currently crippling the country. According to Dr. Nii-Moi Thompson, funding is not a problem and that government has already made contingency plans to address the energy crisis. Minister of Power, Dr. Kwabena Donkor on Monday revealed that as part of measures to end the energy crisis, emergency power badgers will be employed to deal with the situation. Ghana is currently shedding some 440 megawatts during off peak time, which Dr. Donkor attributes to poor maintenance at Asogli Plant as well as 2 units at Akosombo Dam which are currently non-functional. The $622-million-400-Megawatt Bui hydropower station, according to the Power Minister is not a white elephant as suggested by some Ghanaians.
