Ghanaian doctors, nurses addicted to ‘heroin drug’ pethidine

Image
OSEIVIEWS’s investigations have revealed that several doctors and nurses in Ghana’s health facilities are abusing Pethidine, a strong painkiller that has the components of heroin and cocaine. The only Psychiatrist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Dr. Gordon Donnir who confirmed this in an exclusive interview with, says the drug has severe side effects on its users, some of whom have become very addicted to it. Pethidine is a strong analgesic for any form of pain. But when wrongly administered or taken in overdose, one portrays same symptoms as a cocaine or heroin addict. It is an Opioid analgesic drug used to treat pain particularly after an operation or during child birth. Students study under trees awaiting a new class room block to be commission

Image
Since the re-start of multi party democracy in Ghana nearly 20 years ago, various governments continue to boast of huge investments in education. The current government for instance is working hard to improve the quality of education infrastructure, especially in the rural parts of the Ghana where there are schools under trees. However, the case of pupils of Aputuegya in the Bosumtwi District of the Ashanti Region is different; they have a class room but cannot study in the classroom. The pupils, on a daily routine carry their chairs from other class rooms to study under a shed-like structure made from trees. The Students have to endure this for a long time, simply because their newly constructed class rooms have not been commissioned. The school was constructed about a year ago but has since not been handed to the school for use Aputuegya D/A primary school is about 3 kilometers from the Bosumtwi district capital, Kuntunase and about 4 kilometers from Kumasi the regional c...

Gays and perverted Angels of Africa (part 2)

Few months ago I wrote about Gays and religion, this is the second write up about the same subject. Christians expose their hypocrisy and naivety when they take to a radical opposition to the rights of gays. Many Christians, Muslims, the so-called defenders of the faith and of the traditional African values system have skeletons in their cupboards. Like most people they look kindly on their personal shortcomings and perverse behavior when under the cover of darkness but in the open they are vociferous in their condemnation of what they consider as abominable behavior in others. What happened to the Christian principles of charity and compassion? They forget that to obtain God's forgiveness and mercy they ought to be able to forgive everyone who "wrongs" them, steps on their toes or rub them the wrong way and be merciful in their dealings with their fellow humans.  What do these people think of the Christian faith commandment to "love your neighbor ...

Is jesus the son of God? what Muslims must know.

i have always believe and even told my colleague Christians that Muslims way of worshiping  in the mosque and dressing is the best. Even though christian also have a good of dressing and worshiping, but some have veered off. To tell me Jesus is not the son of God. you must be joking! For some days now, there has been a debate by some muslim friends about who Jesus is, i did a little research and i believe this will help them. But before that ; I always tell my Muslim friends that, much as they think they are on the right path, so do we Christians also believe we are on the right path. Just as you may think you have reasons to prove that Christianity is fake, much in the same way, we Christia ns also have strong reasons to prove Islam is fake too. For peace to reign, keep your prove, and let me keep mine. And let the judgment day be the judge. Facebook and other social network platforms are not the place to prove who is on the wrong or right path. For such will only result...
