Touching story: A woman who struggles to cater for her 5 blind children

Image
When a blind child enters a family, be it by birth, accident, vision disorder, or adoption, parents and the others close to the youngster face the challenge of catering for that child.  It is undoubtedly a daunting task to cater for a single disabled person, specifically, a blind person. So, how about a single mother, taking care of five blind children alone? That is the story of 65 year old Maame Abena Korkua, who for decades has struggled to provide food, shelter, and clothing for her five blind children at Bodomase, a village in the Sekyire Afram Plains District of the Ashanti Region. This reporter Joseph Osei Oppong Brenya visited the family at their single-room mud house and has come through with this. The first time I heard this story, I could hardly believe it. I've always lived in a community where one child is born blind or become blind much later in life; but to have five children of a single family go blind is indeed unusual. The story was painful so I decided ...

Gays and the Perverted angels of Africa

Image
Well guys today I am not on my best mood truthfully, I had this debate with my cousin about gay rights in Africa. Is it so bad to be gay? is it a curse ? , is it a disease? I mean common really!!??  I read many articles on the subject whether its surveys, religious publishing, newspapers, political reviews, Everybody in Africa is mad because gay people demand to recognize simply as people. Excuse my French but WTF?  To me it is pretty simple; let people do what they want as long as it cause you no harm period! I think we Africans are somewhat delusional , homosexuality has ALWAYS EXISTED ask your grand pa maybe he was gay (lol just kidding) ; no but for real it’s time to let go of this hypocrisy , talking about killing gays , putting them in jail and stuff like that . Will it make them LESS gay!? Really? They are human beings like any other person. It is an ugly taboo in African societies and it needs to stop. I do understand that in most religious beliefs condemn hom...

Leacked! KATH Report on five still born babies.

REPORT ON FIVE STILL BORN BABIES DELIVERED ON 5 TH FEBRUARY, 2014 AT THE LABOUR WARD OF KATH. 1.0 INTRODUCTION It was identified that (18) vaginal deliveries were recorded within the period (i.e. Tuesday 8am, 4/02/2014 – Wednesday 8am, 5/02/2014) at the A1 Labour Ward of which 3 were SBs.    One other SB which had occurred the day before was still on the labour ward on the morning of 5 th Feb. 2014 and is part of the missing SBs and had therefore been added to the rest to make a total of 4. There were also 12 C/S of which one was a ruptured uterus leading to an SB. Therefore the SB arising from the ruptured uterus if added to the 4 SBs at the Labour Ward make up a total of 5 SBs. It is important to set the records straight, in that a total of 30 deliveries and four 4 SBs and not 16 deliveries and 5 SBs were recorded during that 24hour period. As said earlier one of the SBs occurred the day before but because it was part of the missing SBs it is being include...
