Ministry of Business Development rolls out programmes to support physically challenged women entrepreneurs.

Ghana this month joins the rest of the world in celebrating Global Entrepreneurship Month. The celebration focuses on women entrepreneurs under the theme, "Financial Inclusion for Women Entrepreneurs". The Ministry of Business Development, has rolled out a number of activities to celebrate Ghanaian Women Entrepreneurs. These included a capacity development seminar for women which was held on Thursday, 8th November 2018, and a health walk on Saturday, 10th November 2018. To climax the month celebration, a Special Fundraising Gala Ball will be held on Thursday, 29th November 2018 at Kempinski Hotel. The fundraising event is targeted at raising GHC4 million as seed fund to provide support to physically challenged women entrepreneurs in Ghana and will have Her Excellency, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo, First Lady of the Republic of Ghana as the Special Guest of Honour. The Gala Ball will also have former First ladies of the Republic, and other dignitaries in attendance.

The President of the United state of America has issued a 24 hour ultimatum to the executives of Ghana's opposition party, the National Democratic Congress to as a matter of urgency provide appropriate answer to one social intervention challenge thrown at them by Ghana's vice President Alhaji Dr Mahamudu Bawumia or face a ban from the United State. The stern warning was contain in a press release issued by President Trump through the white house communication bureau. New Deputy CEO of NEIP Replaces Statsy

The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo has appoitnted  Ms. Abigail Swad Laryea as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan-NEIP which is under the Ministry of Business Development. Ms. Abigail Laryea will replace Ms. Statsy Offei-Darko who passed on few months ago. Ms. Abigail Laryea holds Bachelor Degree in Social Science and Master’s in Health Administration from the University of Maryland University College. The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) is a flagship policy initiative of the government of Ghana with the primary objective of providing an integrated national support for start-ups and small businesses. NEIP primarily focuses on providing business development services; startup incubators and funding for young businesses to enable them grow and become successful. As part of effort to promote entrepreneurship and funding for Business expansion and start-ups, TENGHANA is scheduled to launched a seed fund for entrepreneurs TENGHANA disclosed this when they called on the Cheif Executive Officer of National Eentrepreneurship and Innovation Plan-NEIP,  John Kumah as part of a campaign  to launch the "entrepreneur revolution" campaign in partnership with the Ministry of business development and NEIP. The campaign is a prelude to the launch of a  US $1million fund called "the entrepreneurship acceleration fund" which will provide funding for entrepreneurs with scalable businesses in Ghana TENGHANA is an entrepreneurship organisation which aims at helping entrepreneurs in Africa turn their ideas into business and scale up their businesses as well. NEIP CALLS FOR APPLICATIONS!!

The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan-NEIP, under the Ministry of Business Development and is delighted to announce the call for application under the WINDOW 2 of the NEIP PRESIDENTIAL BUSINESS SUPPORT PROGRAMME. We are therefore calling for prospective applicants to enter application for NEIP Business Support Program(NBSP). NEIP is a flagship program of the Government of Ghana to support and promote entrepreneurship and business development. NEIP was launched by the president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo with a seed capital of USD10 million which is expected to be scaled up to USD100 million. This project under the WINDOW 1 Supported over 7000 applicants with Training, Business Advisory services, Technical Support and Access to market. Government Provides Support to Over 250 Northern Sector Businesses Government has provided financial support to over 250 businesses selected from the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions under the Presidential Business Support Programme (PBSP). The Presidential Business Support Programme is designed to provide funding, technical support, training, mentorship and business advisory services to Ghanaian start-ups, as well as small and medium size businesses which constitute over 80% of businesses in the country. John Kumah lights-up Ejisu Constituency as he donates street lights to the community

The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship Innovation Plan (NEIP), Mr. John Kumah, as part of his social responsibility has donated 280 street lighting bulbs to all the 28 electoral areas in the Ejisu Constituency. At a brief ceremony held at the constituency on Friday, May 11, 2018, Mr. John Kumah met and interacted with all the 28 electoral area assembly members and all the members of the unit committee during which he presented the street lighting bulbs. Every electoral area received 10 street lighting bulbs to light up their communities. The donation was received by the Presiding member of the assembly, Hon. Michael Owusu, also known as Hon. “Obaatanpa” on behalf of the assembly. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of  the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP)  on Saturday, May 12, 2018 met and interacted with the Association of  Shoe Makers and Tailors  at the Kumasi Central Market. The CEO of NEIP, paid an official working visit to the Kumasi Central Market to assess the state of business activities and also educate the association of Shoe Markers and Tailors on government initiatives  to improve the socio-economic conditions for businesses to grow.
