Roaming Philanthropist saves a dying man

Few would in all modesty commit themselves to such gestures especially in this part of the world where wealth accumulation is an exception rather than the norm.   A moving philanthropic as we here choose to called him, for some time now has been helping underprivileged people in the country. His recent philanthropic work is saving an elderly man who was lying by the street of Efidduase in the sekyere east district of the Ashanti region. This man known as Abu Razak, an aged man has been given health care dignity to save his life but all effort to get concern institutions help rehabilitate him and reunite with his family has prove futile.   Verson Barwuah is appealing for support of the general public to identify the family.   Funding for the philanthropic work has been basically from personal contribution of his team known as B.Y. Killing innocent people in superstitious religious believe; lucrative business in northern Ghana

There are no efforts by government and society to control and restrain the activities of some self-styl ed traditional priestesses who claim they can detect and exorcize witches and wizards from society. The number of such priestesses, known in the Frafra community as Tigaris, is increasing by the minute and they are causing more harm than good. The priestesses have been forcing some poisonous substances down the throats of alleged witches and wizards in an aggressive bid to tap confessions from them. In many cases, their victims rather have died than uttering any true confessions after taking poisonous concoctions. The priestesses are also said to have been demanding a fine of four hundred Ghana cedis (GH¢400), a cow, a sheep and a carton of gin from every accused person.
