NDC most corrupt and insensitive political party in Ghana - Sammy Awuku

The National Youth Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has described the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) as the most corrupt and insensitive government in the annals of Ghana’s history. Explaining further, the young politician catalogued a tall list of corrupt acts including the abnormal importation of 216 bicycles by Youth Employment Agency (YEA) from China with each cost GHC15,000($3750) as unit cost as some of their shady deals. He wondered how the officials could endorse such a contract knowing very well that a unit cost of bicycle costs less than the agreed price. ABANDONED 9 YEARS MARKET UNDER RECONSTRUCTION

The District Chief Executive for Asuogyaman, Hon. Samuel Agyekum has taken a step to reconstruct nine (9) years abandoned market since 2007 at Asuogyaman - Atimpoku Police Station in the Eastern region. The DCE since resumed office has toured the district to rectify challenges facing the people. He rectify that  the district lack social amenities. Mr. Agyekum has taken another step to reconstruct abandoned market which is a major challenge facing market women. BIRTH AND DEATH BUILDING TURNS FOREST RESERVE

Birth and Death, governmental institution building in the Eastern regional capital  coordinating council  - Koforidua abandoned for about Twenty (20) years. Speaking to the Regional director , Mr. Samuel Forster Omane claimed the contract of the project awarded from national in somewhere 1998, and building plan was drawn in May, 1999.  The building is  abandoned at the lintel level without contract documents. INVOLVE GOVERNMENT APPOINTEES IN REGIONAL AND CONSTITUENCY COMMITTEE MEETINGS - JOHN BOADU

The General Secretary (Ag) of the NPP has called on the party's regional and constituency executives to involve government appointees in their meetings and other engagements. This, he said, would help bridge the "gap" between government and the party at various levels and also address the concerns of party members at all times. He made this call whilst addressing the upper west annual regional delegates conference of the party in the regional capital, Wa, on Sunday, July 23. He disclosed that the party would be organizing regular meetings between government appointees and party members at various levels in order to ensure harmonious relationship between the two bodies. John Boadu noted that this was one of the considerations why 70 to 80% of MMDCEs were selected directly from the party, mainly party executives at the constituency level, which has never happened in the history of the NPP. Mills’ brother threatens to exhume late President’s body

Samuel Atta Mills has threatened to exhume the body of his brother – the late President John Evans Atta Mills – due to the terrible nature of the Asomdwe Park, where he was buried.  Atta Mills, who is the MP for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA) in the Central region disclosed this in an interview with Starr News’ Parliamentary Correspondent, Ibrahim Alhassan after a statement on the floor of parliament to mark the late president’s 73rd birthday.  According to him, the park “is nothing to write home about” and the ossuary of his brother is inundated with cracks because of neglect.  “It is so sad what we are doing,” he bemoaned, saying “if it has to come to me to exhume the body and take it to a proper place I am prepared to do it.” If the state is not ready to take care of it, we would have to advise ourselves,” he threatened.  President Atta Mills died at the 37 Military Hospital on July 24, 201...
