BBC's Sammy Darko writes. "If this is not witchcraft, then I don't know what it is....."

You were payed for your services, even on time than many civil servants. Even the job you got, it was not because you were the most qualified but by virtue of being instrumental towards your party winning power.

You earned good salary, allowances, free travels, in addition to accommodation, free fuel among others. Plus, you have even managed to build a house in a short time.
Then, when you lose power, you buy the vehicle you were using which is pretty new at a ridiculous price!!! This is a car you can't buy in your private life, unless with a bank loan or years of savings.
That civil servant has been working for 30 years and what does he or she gets.....
The political class and public servants have milked the state for too long. Eg, look at what former president Mahama wanted to do-He wanted all that parcel of land plus the buildings and resources on it because he has served the nation.

It took the loud/silent voices to force the Akufo-Addo administration to make a U-turn. Same thing happened under President Kufuor.

They point to a policy that allows public servants to buy state vehicles they were using. So for instance someone can order for a vehicle few years to retirement or end of service-use it a little and buy it off.
When you say, the political bigots will say you are NPP. You are NDC. I am your conscience. I provoke you. I say what you don't want to hear and it makes me happy.
But, I can understand, the illiteracy in Ghana is scary. Nonetheless, I have hope, that gradually when many citizens become educated, many of these "unholy" acts of the political elite will end.
