Police service held a ceremony to remember falling personnel
The
Ghana Police Service today held its second remembrance day and
officially inaugurated a cenotaph in commemoration of fallen personnel.
A total of eight personnel who died in line of duty were remembered and had their names inscribed on the newly unveiled cenotaph at the National Police Training School, Tesano Accra.
H.E. President John Dramani Mahama was the guest of Honour. In attendance were the Interior Minister Hon. Prosper Douglas Bani, Acting Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Jiang Zhaoteng, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Interior Mrs. Adelaide Anno- Kumi, former Inspector Generals of Police, Retired Police Commissioners, other Heads of Security Services and the Diplomatic Corps.
