PRESS RELEASE: Youths against the reappointment of Yamoah Ponko as EJisu Juaben MCE

we the members of concern Youth in politics of Juaben constituency would want to appeal to his excellency the president of the Republic of Ghana John Dramani Mahama to as a matter of urgency rescind his decision of making Yamoah Ponkor the mce of Ejisu Juaben mun assembly for the second time.

It is worthy of notice that Yamoah's leadership was characterised by arrogance and corruption of unspeakable magnitude.

This man's deliberate disregard for the law has resulted in the Assembly paying huge sums of money meant for development as compensation for his victims.

This is a man who has the track record of bullying his own technocrats, police commanders, pastors, education directors, heads of institutions, presiding member and even some chiefs of the municipality.

Corruption : a few cases of corruption under his first term. Procurement of bulldozer, pay loader, generator set, sale of assembly pick up,(registration number withheld) sale of Ghana commercial bank building for over Ghc 700,000.00 including Ejisu post office are just a few for now.

Apart from the emergency block at Juaben government hospital which he deliberately named after himself, we the people of Juaben are challenging him to come out and tell the general public what he did for the people of new Bomfa, Yaw Nkrumah, Asiampa, Habitat just to mention a few. 

We simply are not ready to endure yet another culture of silence in our own town which is part of a Democratic jurisdiction.

Yamoah Ponkor for Ejisu Juaben Municipal Assembly, never again.
